Inspiring Young Engineers: Playful Engineers Event
On July 31st, Quarry Hills Plumbing & HVAC funded a one-time event, “Playful Engineers: Chain Reactions & Creative Contraptions,” at the Mansfield Public Library. The program invited kids ages 4–14 to explore the fun side of engineering through hands-on activities and interactive projects. The activities were designed to spark curiosity and creativity for a wide age range, ensuring that every child could participate and learn.
The events encouraged kids to:
- Design, Build, Test, and Play. Kids engaged in building chain reactions and inventive contraptions, exploring how simple machines and engineering principles work in action.
- Problem-Solve Creatively. Participants learned to think critically as they experimented with Rube Goldberg-style machines and other playful engineering challenges.
- Engage in Hands-On Learning. By combining reading, science, and experimentation, the program offered an interactive learning experience that kept participants engaged throughout the session.
